Actor Shim Hyung-tak made a sensational debut with his 164-day-old son, Haru, on KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' (hereafter 'Superman is Back').
The 583rd episode of 'Superman is Back,' aired on the 23rd, recorded a nationwide rating of 3.7% according to Nielsen Korea, significantly rising compared to the previous week and setting the highest rating in the last three months. The episode featuring Shim Hyung-tak and his son Haru's first appearance was highlighted as it proved to be a 'rating fairy.'
On this day, Shim Hyung-tak took care of Haru, whom he had with his Japanese wife Hirai Saya, all alone for the first time in his life, showcasing a unique 'lucky spoon' charm. He demonstrated the determination of a 'no-eye' dad by looking for different glasses when viewing his son up close and searching for objects at a distance, and he almost woke his son up when he nearly choked while cooking two bowls of ramen during a 'meerkat meal.'
He also went to the mart to buy carrot, a weaning food ingredient, and revealed his 'Doraemon fan' instincts by getting caught up in a figure lottery, proving his enduring 'fan power.' Moreover, when putting Haru to sleep, he added unique fun by singing his favorite songs, such as Lim Jae-bum's 'Confession' and Shin Seung-hun's 'Invisible Love,' instead of lullabies.
