Lee Jang-woo and BamBam from 'Do You Know Home-cooked Meal' will serve 'K-home-cooked meal' to the 'superstar of the Thai food industry.'
In the 3rd episode of 'Do You Know Home-cooked Meal' airing on the 23rd on MBN and MBC Every1, 'Thai Home-cooked Meal Brothers' Lee Jang-woo and BamBam will meet with Thailand's top food industry representative, Watchara Buralak (hereafter referred to as Pla), to share a special home-cooked meal.
That day, Lee Jang-woo said, "I have a local friend who runs a restaurant," adding, "Let's go to the restaurant for lunch and we’ll treat them to dinner!" BamBam is curious as they arrive at a clean and chic upscale restaurant, and he feels at home saying, "This is a place all Thai people know." Upon entering the establishment, CEO Pla warmly greets the two. Lee Jang-woo introduces Pla to BamBam, saying, "If BamBam has a superstar friend in the entertainment industry, Pla is a superstar in the business world!" In fact, Pla is a significant player in Thai dining, operating 14 brands and 185 locations, and it adds to the surprise that the restaurant known as a hotspot for Sung Si-kyung is one of her brands.
Moreover, BamBam shares that in the past, he posted a photo at Pla's restaurant and was told by the staff, "From now on, visits to the restaurant will be free." In response, Pla officially acknowledges the "free pass" saying, "That's right. I'll treat you any time for free." In a warm atmosphere, Pla begins cooking for the two, while Lee Jang-woo and BamBam taste the delicious high-end Thai home cuisine, praising, "This food is the best we've had in Thailand!"
To reciprocate, the two move to Pla's home to begin cooking 'K-home-cooked meal.' Lee Jang-woo chooses galbitang and beef doenjang jjigae because he knows Pla likes them, and BamBam challenges himself with som tam that he is confident in. As they start cooking in earnest, while adding a generous amount of garlic to the doenjang jjigae, Lee Jang-woo jokingly asks BamBam, "What ethnic group are we? The garlic ethnic group~" before quickly apologizing, saying, "Oh, I'm sorry. You're Thai, right?" BamBam retorts, "I'm from the cilantro ethnic group" and then jokes, "Actually, at this point, let's add both ethnic groups in."
Finally, the completed 'K-home-cooked meal' is presented to Pla, her family, and the family of her business partner, who are eager to taste it. Pla, having tasted her favorite dish galbitang, exclaims, "I want to sell this in Thailand!" Nervously, BamBam presents the som tam he prepared, raising curiosity about how local food industry experts will evaluate his dish.
Meanwhile, ahead of the 3rd episode broadcast, the production team released a preview on the official website and social media showing Lee Jang-woo experiencing the trending 'tiramisu massage' in the local area. In this video, BamBam says, "I specially prepared this for you, hyung," taking Lee Jang-woo to the 'tiramisu massage shop' that is currently 'hot' in Thailand. Immediately afterward, Lee Jang-woo, shirtless, immerses himself in a tub filled with brown volcanic rock beads reminiscent of tiramisu. As he enjoys a relaxing massage, BamBam, watching him fondly, suddenly becomes a home shopping show host and declares, "Now, the menu we’re introducing today is Jang-woo's whole-roasted meat~" which leads to a 'great chaos party.' The explosive chemistry between the two during their final 'K-home-cooked meal' project in Thailand can be seen in the 3rd episode of 'Do You Know Home-cooked Meal' airing at 10:20 p.m. on the 23rd (today) on MBN and MBC Every1.
