Health trainer Yang Chi-seung personally sent messages to members, fulfilling his responsibilities until the end.
On the 22nd, Yang Chi-seung stated through his social media, "Some members received the first group text announcement as advertisements or spam, so I sent a second notice to each member individually. Please be sure to check it." The accompanying video showed him sending messages to members one by one.
Even in a situation of impending closure, he took initiative to reduce inconvenience for members. Yang Chi-seung noted, "Refunds and collection of personal items will be processed until 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, so please make sure to visit within that period," and emphasized, "Membership fees not refunded and personal items not collected within the deadline may be discarded."
The gym operated by Yang Chi-seung will close its doors on the 25th. He previously revealed that he suffered hundreds of millions of won in damages due to a lease fraud during the operation of the gym and ultimately received an eviction order after losing in court. It was explained that the landlord with whom he signed the contract was not the actual property owner, resulting in double rent payments.
He stated, "I am doing my best to process refunds for members," and mentioned, "We have already completed about 20 million won in refunds, and there are still refunds totaling several tens of millions of won remaining." When some members expressed support by saying, "We will not ask for refunds until the gym opens again," Yang Chi-seung replied with a smile, "Let's get the refunds first and talk about it later."
Finally, he expressed, "Since I started with nothing until now, I can start again," and added, "Thanks to the support and encouragement, I have shed many tears, but I will definitely show you a comeback."
