Actress Ina Eun meets The Defects.
The new ENA Monday-Tuesday drama "The Defects," which premieres at 10 p.m. on the 21st, is an action thriller that portrays the desperate survival and revenge of children who barely survive after being abandoned by their adoptive parents. Above all, it is based on the Kakao webtoon of the same name, which won the grand prize for Best Creativity at the 'International Content Market SPP 2017 Webtoon Awards' and recorded over 51 million views.
Ina Eun plays the role of 'Somi,' one of the children abandoned by their adoptive parents in the story. She is a character who lives with a confident energy despite having painful scars, alongside the children, including the leader role of Ahyun (Won Jina). In this context, Ina Eun, who has primarily showcased works focused on youthful school dramas, is drawing attention as she challenges the action thriller genre for the first time.
Ina Eun has proven her potential as an actress through various works such as 'A-TEEN 1', 'A-TEEN 2', 'Hip Hop King: Nasna Gil', and 'Nevertheless'. In particular, in 'Nevertheless', she completed the character of 'Yeojuda' with dazzling visuals and a refreshing atmosphere, befitting the setting of a character from a comic. Additionally, as the story progressed into the latter half, she fluidly expressed contrasting emotional lines that transitioned between the stage and shadow, captivating the audience.
Previously, she experienced misfortune by being cast in the 'Taxi Driver' series and then replaced. There is anticipation for what kind of performance she will show in the highly anticipated "The Defects."
Meanwhile, "The Defects," featuring Ina Eun, will premiere on ENA on July 21 and will also be available exclusively on the OTT platform TVING.
