Jang Geun-suk boasted about the overflowing affection of his fans on 'Radio Star.'
On the 16th broadcast of the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' (hereinafter 'RAS'), Jang Geun-suk, Lee Hong-ki, Subin, and Kim Shin-young appeared for the 'World Class, Only I Can Be Seen~' special.
That day, Kim Shin-young mentioned that regarding the Korean Wave, Bae Yong-joon and Jang Geun-suk are talked about as the top two, saying, 'When you go towards Shibuya, women take pictures in front of a certain building. It looks petite, but it turns out this substantial building belongs to Mr. Jang Geun-suk. They really take pictures there. Mr. Jang Geun-suk's building looks amazing.'
Hearing this, Kim Gu-ra became curious about what was in the building, and Kim Shin-young asked Jang Geun-suk, 'Didn’t you have a café there?' A surprised Jang Geun-suk responded, 'How did you know?' To which Kim Shin-young replied, 'My accommodation was that way. There’s a park and a department store on the road down.' Jang Geun-suk added, 'That’s right. Right behind the department store.' Kim Gu-ra joked, 'Isn't it a good time for the yen?'
Additionally, Jang Geun-suk mentioned that he is currently active as a professional catch-er in Japan, explaining, 'Besides my acting activities, I'm also active as a singer, participating in various units. I'm a solo artist, and I've created an EDM unit. I also perform with a five-member band called Chimi with my acquaintances.'
He continued, 'As a band, we also do street busking. I leave the guitar bag open and say, 'Let’s just do it for 30 minutes' and I only eat as much as we earn that day.' After hearing this, Yoo Se-yoon said, 'Isn’t this like a commoner experience?' Kim Gu-ra remarked, 'Since you have a building in Japan.'
Meanwhile, Jang Geun-suk likened his fans to mothers from the Gangnam 8th school district, saying, 'Fans resemble their celebrities. Their vibes are similar, so it seems they have interest in me. Thus, my fans are very passionate about me. They support a lot, saying I should succeed. They sent meal trucks for six months during the drama filming. I haven’t had the chance to eat out during that time.'
Regarding the age range of his fans, he added, 'The oldest are in their 60s and 70s. Those people come to the EDM performances and dance.'
