BUMSUP was eliminated on the verge of making it to the finals.
The 8th episode of Mnet's 'World of Street Woman Fighter' (hereafter 'WSWF'), broadcast on the 15th, depicted the announcement of the dance film mission results and the selection of three crews advancing to the finals.
BUMSUP and MOTIV, which received lower scores in the mission, met in an elimination battle. The judges unanimously stated that the crews had to show something above the standard.
The first battle was a group battle. The first to attack was BUMSUP. Marlee reacted, saying, "I was surprised to see BUMSUP do hip-hop." MOTIV expressed that while it was annoying to see BUMSUP enjoy themselves, it was also fun. The second attacker, MOTIV, moved in with a point dance targeting OSAKA Ojo Gang and AG SQUAD, surprising everyone.
Once the first match ended, everyone unanimously praised it as a good battle, stating that the outcome was unpredictable. LIA KIM noted, "Both showed powerful performances. The flow was similar. I chose based on who was a bit more creative and a bit cleaner," while PARK JIN-YOUNG remarked, "MOTIV prepared for the battle like a real battle. It felt like a trained army came out. BUMSUP was creative." The first group battle ended with MOTIV winning by a unanimous 5:0.
The second battle was a 2:2 duet battle. HONEY J prepared for the battle and said, "Talking about PURPLE FLOW, HAEIN and I prioritized our preparations a lot." The first attack came from BUMSUP, featuring Rihei and HONEY J, who appeared confident. However, Bella commented, "The chemistry wasn't great." Then it was MOTIV's turn, with Bella and Marlee appearing. HONEY J stated, "I wonder if we might not fill all the spots and end up with a disadvantage." Mike Song explained, "It was really neck and neck. The styles contrasted, and the energy was different. It was a hair's breadth difference." The second battle ended with BUMSUP winning unanimously 5:0.
The third battle was a 1:1 battle. BUMSUP's LIP J faced MOTIV's Logistx. The first attack was from MOTIV, with Logistx quickly stepping to the center of the stage to unleash her signature move. The responder was BUMSUP, and LIP J showcased aggressive moves that dominated the atmosphere. Mike Song expressed his confusion, saying, "How do you even compare this?" Ultimately, BUMSUP emerged victorious in the third battle.
The fourth was a 2:2 duet battle. BUMSUP was the first to attack with AIKI and LIP J stepping up. Cheers erupted for their attempt at a new style, and AIKI expressed excitement, saying, "I think we can be the main characters." MOTIV sent out Nisha and Bella. The confident AIKI also remarked, "The energy is no joke. It's clear that they are very eager to come out aggressively now."
After the battle, LIA KIM expressed confusion, saying, "It was too close to call." Mike Song commented, "There are no criteria to evaluate this. BUMSUP created an unexpected style in the battle. I highly value their strategy. I thought MOTIV would be predictable, but they created strong dynamism." MOTIV became the winner of the fourth round, while AIKI appeared stunned and couldn't close her mouth. AIKI said, "I felt quite disappointed. I didn't want to put any pressure on the last 1:1 battle."
The final battle was a 1:1 match. MOTIV's Marlee took the stage and showcased skillful choreography utilizing music. BUMSUP's Rihei, who is suffering from back pain, appeared. After finishing her dance, Rihei expressed concern, saying, "I don't remember what I did." It was time for the judges' evaluations. Mike Song remarked, "I think the level is really high. I expected something fiery like a final battle. BUMSUP brought the fire. It was intense." The final results showed that MOTIV claimed victory 4:1.
MOTIV advanced to the finals, while BUMSUP could not cross the threshold to the finals. Rihei said, "I felt very sorry for those who had the last round." The members of BUMSUP embraced each other and shed tears. PARK JIN-YOUNG commented, "The performance that doesn't fade from people's minds is what counts. 'Mongyeong' is the best piece." LIA KIM stated, "I don't think I could do it twice. I have so much respect and admiration for them."
HONEY J shared her thoughts, saying, "I didn't expect to cry like this. Four years ago, I received a lot of love and was able to meet those who became a source of strength. I hope they see me beautifully."
