In 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy,' Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-Woo have ignited a reciprocal romance.
In episode 7 of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' (directed by Kim Yong-wan, written by Yang Ji-hoon, planned by CJ ENM, produced by Studio Dragon, DEXTER, and EO Contents Group), Park Seong-ah (played by Cho Yi-hyun) and Bae Gyeon-woo (played by Choo Young-Woo) finally found their hearts connecting. After just one day, believing they could live normally, Park Seong-ah tearfully pleaded with the evil spirit Bong-soo (played by Choo Young-Woo). And feeling that he had once again made Park Seong-ah cry, Bae Gyeon-woo made a dangerous transaction with Bong-soo. The ending, where he confessed to Park Seong-ah, 'I’m usually very fearful. But right now, I’m not scared at all. You are just too warm. I like you,' heightened the excitement of their increasingly solid rescue romance amid the crisis of the evil spirit's possession.
Park Seong-ah, who made a transaction with the evil spirit Bong-soo to protect each other, saw a rise in the ratings as well. The ratings for episode 7 recorded an average of 4.6% and a peak of 5.8% based on metropolitan households, and an average of 4.8% and a peak of 5.9%, the highest for the series, based on nationwide households, ranking first in the same time slot including cable and general programming channels. The ratings among the target demographic for tvN, adults aged 20 to 49, also reached a nationwide high of 2.3%, maintaining a strong response.
On this day, the game of tag between Park Seong-ah and the evil spirit Bong-soo began. The spirit, who had taken a liking to Park Seong-ah, promised to grant her one wish if she found him before Yeom-hwa (played by Choo Ja-hyun). To save Bae Gyeon-woo, Park Seong-ah accepted Bong-soo's proposal. As Bong-soo escaped the abandoned house, he enjoyed his freedom, but couldn’t go far and was caught by Park Seong-ah. She held Bong-soo’s hand, pleading that she must save Bae Gyeon-woo.
After shedding tears, saying she could live normally in just a day, Bong-soo's pupils trembled at her sincerity. In fact, the moment Park Seong-ah held his hand, he reverted back to Bae Gyeon-woo, not Bong-soo. Unaware of this fact, Park Seong-ah even confessed that Bae Gyeon-woo was her first love. Only then did Bae Gyeon-woo reveal he was not Bong-soo. When a startled Park Seong-ah let go of his hand, Bae Gyeon-woo vanished, and Bong-soo appeared, leading Park Seong-ah to realize that she could seal the evil spirit with human talisman skinship.
Before the tremors of the first love confession could fade, Park Seong-ah and Bae Gyeon-woo entered 'attachment' mode. They ended up tying their hands together to trap Bong-soo and even shared a bed. Feeling heartbroken seeing Park Seong-ah sad because he couldn’t get through the critical three-seven days, Bae Gyeon-woo comforted her warmly. However, he couldn’t stop Bong-soo's rampage. While Park Seong-ah was asleep, Bong-soo broke out and headed to school, even aiming at Pyo Ji-ho (played by Cha Kang-yoon) and behaving recklessly in Bae Gyeon-woo's face, leaving everyone in shock.
To stop the unpredictable Bong-soo, Park Seong-ah responded with necromancy but found it difficult to contain him. In a moment of crisis, it was Bae Gyeon-woo who caught Bong-soo. Bae Gyeon-woo had made a dangerous transaction with the evil spirit, proposing that he would cooperate to allow Bae Gyeon-woo to participate in the archery competition, while the spirit would use his body while at school. Bae Gyeon-woo accepted Bong-soo's transaction and agreed to lend his body while at school.
Despite Park Seong-ah's objections that there is a life-at-risk in transactions with the evil spirit, Bae Gyeon-woo remained unfazed. Although he could not discern Bong-soo's intentions, he reassured her that their shared body would be slightly more advantageous. Thankful that Park Seong-ah had protected him earnestly, he said, 'I’m usually very fearful. But right now, I’m not scared at all. You are just too warm. I like you,' and made a surprise confession. Park Seong-ah hugged Bae Gyeon-woo. The crisis of the evil spirit's possession strengthened their first love, providing a heartfelt thrill.
Meanwhile, the encounter between Yeom-hwa and General Dong-cheon (played by Kim Mi-kyung) heightened the tension. General Dong-cheon, who could not leave Yeom-hwa behind after the blade that eliminated evil spirits struck her, was confronted by Yeom-hwa, who angrily said, 'Why did you keep me alive knowing that would bring trouble instead of just ending it then?' Yeom-hwa's sharp remark made General Dong-cheon's solemn face conducting the exorcism more intriguing.
