Actress and director Goo Hye-sun named her greatest failure as a director as the most painful failure among her experiences.

Goo Hye-sun has directed and produced films such as 'Pleasant Help,' 'Magic,' 'You,' 'Peach Tree,' 'Pieces of Memory,' 'Daughter,' 'Mister Mystery Pink,' and 'Deep Sleep,' 'Dark Yellow.' Among these, the film 'Peach Tree,' featuring Jo Seung-woo, Nam Sang-mi, and Ryu Deok-hwan, attracted only 33,902 viewers.
In the video, when asked about her memorable experiences of failure, Goo Hye-sun said, 'I have so many failure experiences that I can't even pinpoint them. It’s hard to select the most memorable one, but if there was a shocking failure, it would be the failure I experienced while directing a film.'
Goo Hye-sun noted, 'At first, I didn't learn much because of the frustration. I debuted as an actress at a young age and it worked out very well. I won an award when I made a short film. My expectations rose significantly. Then I made a feature film that failed miserably. At that time, rather than realizing and feeling something, I was just frustrated.'
'The aftermath was huge. I had no confidence to get back up, and as time passed, it became a painful memory, and I can't say that I've overcome it, but it feels like something I have to carry. Since I failed, I don't think the thought of overcoming and trying again follows. I think it's important to have the mindset that 'this will continue in the future.'
