Lee Kyung-sil has once again accepted her estranged son, Son Bo-seung.
The appearance of Son Bo-seung, who challenged himself in boxing, was depicted on the TV CHOSUN program 'The Lover of Joseon' broadcast on the 14th.
Lee Kyung-sil noted that one of the conditions for accepting her son Son Bo-seung, whom she had cut ties with due to 'premarital pregnancy', was to lose weight. Son Bo-seung started boxing to lose weight and eventually participated in a boxing competition after much effort. Son Bo-seung demonstrated his dedication to exercise by running in addition to skipping rope. Son Bo-seung said, “I want to show that I have been working hard during this time.”
Son Bo-seung invited Lee Kyung-sil and his sister to the competition. On the day of the boxing match, Lee Kyung-sil appeared looking unwell. Despite being on an IV, Lee Kyung-sil expressed concern for her son's health, saying, “Boxing is tough, so don't you eat less because of that?” and reminisced, “I once did boxing with Jo Hye-ryeon. At first, we did it while laughing. Jo Hye-ryeon told me to do it properly. Later on, she hit me hard once. At that time, I got angry, and it turned into a fight.”
Finally arriving at the venue, Lee Kyung-sil appeared nervous watching her son prepare for the match. Seeing her son standing in front of the ring, Lee Kyung-sil said, “I’m so nervous that I’m shaking. I’m most worried that he might get hurt,” as she clasped her hands.
Even in the atmosphere where Son Bo-seung was leading the match, Lee Kyung-sil said, “I’m going to die,” while his sister remarked, “He’s trying to take responsibility for his life and working hard for his health, which is admirable and cute. Is that the weight of being the head of the family? It seems like he’s living more diligently than I am,” drawing tears from everyone.
As a result of the match, Son Bo-seung claimed victory. Lee Kyung-sil said, “When I was trying to accept Bo-seung before, I told him, 'You need to take care of your health and maintain a healthy body.' There hasn't been much change in weight during that time, so I've been thinking about whether to continue. I feel proud, and I trust him. I recognize Bo-seung,” as she applauded her son.
Lee Kyung-sil approached Son Bo-seung after the match and said, “It’s impressive, but you look too exhausted,” showing her concern.
