On the 15th, Jangsu County announced via their official SNS that "the recruitment for the singer for the opening performance of the 19th Jangsu Korean Beef and Apple Festival failed in the final stage, but the list of candidates and poster drafts were leaked externally."
They added, "We would like to express our regrets for causing unintended disappointment to the local residents and Taeyeon's fans."
Earlier, on the 14th, a poster stating that Girls' Generation's Taeyeon would perform at the "Jangsu Korean Beef and Apple Festival" in September was shared on SNS and online communities.
However, it was confirmed that Taeyeon's appearance was not true.

We will take this opportunity to improve the deficiencies in festival planning, examine the performers, and ensure that such incidents do not recur as we thoroughly prepare for the 19th Jangsu Korean Beef and Apple Festival.
