On the first anniversary of Hollywood actress Shannen Doherty's death, her close friends shared heartfelt memorial messages.
To honor Doherty, who passed away at the age of 53 after battling breast cancer last year, actors Rose McGowan and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who starred as sisters in 'Charmed', conveyed their deep emotions through social media.
McGowan posted on Instagram, "One year ago today, you took flight, but we think of you every day. It's filled with love and gratitude," sharing a past photo of Doherty. The photo, showing Doherty in all black with a cigarette in her mouth and intense eyes, had the short and powerful phrase “You are missed” added.
McGowan also expressed regret, saying, "I wish we had become friends earlier. If only there had been that opportunity..." She reminisced about the late star, saying, “She was the bravest champion I knew.”
Sarah Michelle Gellar also shared a sentimental video reminiscing about her memories with Doherty. The background music was 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth.
