Actor Yeom Hye-ran shared her thoughts on returning with a contrasting image after 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'
On the 14th, the production report for the Netflix movie 'Wall To Wall' took place at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel. The event was attended by actors Kang Ha-neul, Yeom Hye-ran, Seo Hyun-woo, and director Kim Tae-jun.
The film is an unpredictable thriller about Woosung (Kang Ha-neul), who successfully acquires a home with an APT. of 84 square meters and suffers from mysterious floor noise.
Yeom Hye-ran, who plays the representative resident Eun-hwa, noted, "The fact that it's a reality-based thriller was felt in the director's previous work. The emotional engagement was inevitable; because I could relate, I wanted to take part. The character is different from anything I have done so far, and I wanted to challenge myself."
In particular, Yeom Hye-ran, who rose to fame as the ‘national mom’ after passionately playing Jeon Gwang-rye, a mother to IU's character Aesoon and Jeju diver in the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' revealed, "I feel very nervous and tense before its release."
Furthermore, regarding her character, Yeom Hye-ran explained, "Eun-ah is a rare figure. She is very powerful. In real life, she is not the kind of person found there. Technically, she is someone who cannot be considered a neighbor, being a woman with power among the wealthy and a former prosecutor who knows how to evade the law."
In response, director Kim Tae-jun elaborated, "I thought Yeom Hye-ran was an extraordinary actress for conveying intense emotions, but Eun-ah is cold, calculating, and may even appear inhuman. I wondered how Yeom Hye-ran would portray such a character. There’s an expectation that we will see a new side to her."
