The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival gifted teenagers with special laughter through the pre-delivery performance "Comedy School Attack."
This year marking the 13th edition, the Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) successfully concluded the comedy delivery performance "Comedy School Attack" held on July 11 (Friday) at Myungho Middle School. The venue, filled with cheers and warm enthusiasm, provided great joy and healing to the students while enhancing their anticipation for the festival.
This program was organized to provide laughter and a sense of liberation to teenagers weary from their studies and to enhance cultural sensitivity, serving as the official pre-event of the BICF, which has been continued for 9 out of its 13 years.
On this day, participants from KBS's popular program "Gag Concert 2," Jo Soo-yeon and Shin Yoon-seung, appeared to showcase a variety of performances. The skit "How About Defconn?" humorously depicted "happenings during a blind date" and brought unforgettable moments filled with laughter from all the students of Myungho Middle School.
In addition, various segments were filled with activities like talent shows showcasing students' talents, "Blow Away Your Worries" where worries were tossed as paper airplanes, and group photos. Moreover, the BICF also presented laughter scholarships to students, adding to the emotional impact.
Students who participated in the event expressed enthusiastic responses, saying, "It was really amazing and fun to have such performances at school," "I was so happy to see the famous comedian I wanted to meet in person," and "All my stress just flew away."
A representative from the BICF organizing committee noted, "We are grateful for the warm response at the venue and will continue to lead communication between generations and regions through various cultural content that brings laughter."
Meanwhile, the Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee is preparing for the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival to be held on August 29, and has successfully concluded the "Comedy Academy" that began in March in collaboration with Dongseo University. Through various pre-events and collaborations like "Comedy School Attack," they aim to communicate more closely with the citizens and increase anticipation for the festival.
