'Culinary Class Wars' Lee Soon-sil boasted about her connections in the entertainment industry.
In the episode aired on the 13th, KBS2's 'Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' (hereafter 'Culinary Class Wars') depicted Lee Soon-sil visiting 'Imo Kase' Kim Mi-ryeong's restaurant to learn about omakase.
That day, Imo Kase asked, 'You've been busy since Culinary Class Wars aired, right?' Lee replied, 'It's the same now as it was then. I only receive the same few. So nothing has particularly changed. I host for more than 1,000 people at lunch at my main restaurant, where I boil noodles.'
He conveyed his belief by saying, 'The food is made there. The food has a soul. I don’t bring food made there here. After doing this for over 40 years.' He then stated, 'That's why I became a promotional ambassador for Dongdaemun District this time.'
In response, Director Jang exclaimed, 'I've seen it so much on TV,' and Lee Soon-sil remarked, 'What good does that do? I can't appear on 'Culinary Class Wars'.' Then Imo Kase said, 'I’m trying to participate in programs that can promote Korean cuisine,' and Lee responded, 'We are doing that.' When Imo Kase said, 'I’m also doing it now,' Lee initiated a connection contest by asking, 'Which celebrities do you know?'
Imo Kase replied, 'I know quite a few. I am also well-acquainted with Jeong Ji-seon,' and Lee Soon-sil stated, 'I know people even more influential than Jeong Ji-seon,' naming others like Lee Gyeong-kyu, Byun Jin-seop, Kim Suk, Jun Hyun-moo, and Park Myung-soo among her 'Culinary Class Wars' connections.
Upon hearing this, Imo Kase mentioned, 'Kim Suk and I are friends,' and Lee Soon-sil proudly noted, 'Choi Soo-jong calls me noona. Nam Hee-seok also calls me hyung. I asked to attend Kim Jong-min's wedding, but I couldn't go because I was busy.'
In response, Director Jang expressed surprise but questioned, 'Why would they invite you?' Lee confidently replied, 'Because it's me.'
