'Trustworthy listeners' MONSTA X exuded a warm 'senior beauty.'
MONSTA X members Shownu, Kihyun, and Hyungwon appeared as top idols in the SBS global boy group audition program 'B:MY BOYZ' on the 12th, judging the second round representative song match.
MONSTA X, introduced as a top idol leading the global K-POP scene, closely appreciated and evaluated the performances of the 'B:GINNER' participants on that day's broadcast. In particular, they provided warm advice and sharp feedback as original artists during the competition featuring their representative songs, creating a strong 'senior moment.'
The 'My MONSTA X' team selected 'Love Killa,' while the 'MONSTA B' team chose 'Shoot Out.' Before the main stage, Kihyun noted to Hyungwon, "The beginner Bandaniel gives off a bit of your vibe," gaining agreement. Meanwhile, Shownu remarked, "I'm curious about how the cute beginner Haruto will handle a sexy concept." Kihyun emphasized the importance of relaxation for the 'Love Killa' team and power for the 'Shoot Out' team, demonstrating attentiveness.
After watching the beginners' performances, Hyungwon generously praised, "They expressed the atmosphere so well that I forgot how young they are." Following this, Kihyun complimented the center roles played by Lee Yeontae and Moon Jaeil, stating, "My eyes keep going towards them," praising their stage presence.
The genuine evaluation aimed at the participants' growth stood out. MONSTA X said, "The 'Love Killa' team seemed a bit too tense, which was disappointing," and noted, "'Shoot Out' is a really difficult song. It felt like there was a slight breakdown in vocals or dance as it progressed," providing candid feedback to help the beginners focus on areas for improvement in their next performance.
On that day's broadcast, the 'My MONSTA X' team's 'vocal match' stage was also revealed. Kihyun praised the beginners who interpreted BTS's 'Spring Day' as a ballad fan song, stating, "It’s like a professional singer. I was surprised by the smooth and sophisticated falsetto handling." Hyungwon commented on the voice of beginner Park Sechan, saying, "I really like pop, and he has such a great voice that I want to work with him next time," drawing amazement from the audience. The beginners responded, "It's an honor to receive compliments from MONSTA X seniors," continuing the warm atmosphere.
As a top idol for the second round of 'B:MY BOYZ,' MONSTA X is expected to judge the 'vocal match' stage of the 'MONSTA B' team and the 'mega performance match' of the two teams. Notably, the 'mega performance match' will be decorated with MONSTA X's debut song 'Trespass,' creating anticipation for what they will showcase in the next broadcast.
On May 14, MONSTA X celebrated their 10th anniversary, continuing to engage actively in various fields including music, broadcasting, and festivals. On the day of their anniversary, they released a complete digital album 'NOW PROJECT vol.1' and later held a free pop-up exhibition to express gratitude to their fans.
Meanwhile, MONSTA X is set to hold a complete concert celebrating their 10th anniversary titled '2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X' at the KSPO DOME (former gymnastics arena) in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from the 18th to the 20th, planning to share meaningful time with their fans.
