Broadcaster Kim Yong-man revealed his son's recent status. After dropping out of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in the U.S., he disclosed that he is currently active as a DJ.
The MBN program "Talk Show Dongchimi," aired on the 12th, featured special MCs Kim Yong-man, Lee Hyun-yi, and Enok. Kim Yong-man's close friends Jo Hye-ryeon, Lee Hye-jeong, and Yoon Soo-hyun also participated, showcasing their vibrant wit.
On that day, Jo Hye-ryeon said, "I often talked about children with Yong-man oppa," mentioning the depth of their friendship. She added, "Oppa's son was a child who loved music. He said he suddenly wanted to become a DJ while studying in the U.S. The university he attended was Berklee, so it must have been a big concern as a father."
In response, Kim Yong-man calmly shared, "He dropped out of school. I respect his decision. It's his life." Previously, he revealed through a YouTube channel that "my son is preparing to DJ at a club in Itaewon," adding, "He is doing DJing."
The two shared their concerns about their children's career paths and expressed their feelings as parents. Jo Hye-ryeon remarked, "Uju dropped out of school and was only 18 years old with an elementary school diploma. He said he would be a goalkeeper, so I even bought him gloves. But later, he said he would play the drums," while Kim Yong-man said with a laugh, "So when I asked him, 'Are you doing well?' he replied, 'I quit.'"
Kim Yong-man married in 1998 and has a son.
