Namgoong-min and Jeon Yeo-bin's couple boldly confronted challenges amid a multitude of crises.
In the 9th episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Our Movie' (directed by Lee Jeong-heum, written by Han Ga-eun and Kang Kyung-min), which aired on the 11th, the affectionate interactions between Lee Je-ha (played by Namgoong-min) and Lee Da-eum (played by Jeon Yeo-bin), who have just started their romance, were depicted despite the ongoing trials from dating rumors to audition favoritism. Accordingly, the 9th episode recorded a viewership rating of 4% based on the metropolitan area, and the momentary highest rating soared to 5.1% (according to Nielsen Korea).
Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum, while worrying about the impending breakup, resolved to focus on living fully in the moment, saying, "Let's just work hard to live in the present." Knowing it was a love they chose despite knowing the end, they focused on filming while building their own memories.
However, after a happy time, a reporter named Noh Hee-tae (played by Jeon Seok-chan) sparked concern on the set of ‘White Love’ after seeing Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum together alone at the hospital. Noh Hee-tae, failing to get the desired response from producer Boo Seung-won (played by Seo Hyun-woo) and agency head Ko Hye-young (played by Seo Jeong-yeon), received a tip-off from Lee Da-eum's classmate Nam Jae-in (played by Park Eun-woo), leading to the release of articles about the dating rumors between the director and the actors as well as the audition favoritism.
The atmosphere on set became heavy due to the unexpected scandal, and Lee Da-eum also began to feel increasingly intimidated. Although filming proceeded with encouragement from beloved senior Cha Seo-young (played by Lee Seol) and Kim Jeong-woo (played by Seo Yi-seo), as well as support from close friend Kwak Kyo-young (played by Oh Kyung-hwa) and the staff, the wound that had settled in her heart continued to torment Lee Da-eum.
Lee Je-ha faced a similar situation. After the hiring corruption issue that erupted within the company and the audition favoritism article regarding 'White Love', the investment firm warned Boo Seung-won about withdrawing financing due to the inevitable damage to its image, prompting Boo Seung-won to rush to the set to discuss solutions.
However, Lee Je-ha demanded quick resolution, questioning whether both Boo Seung-won and the investors knew that Lee Da-eum was terminally ill when they invested. To receive funding for the movie, Lee Da-eum had intentionally leaked audition footage containing her secret to both of them, and as Lee Je-ha anticipated, both Boo Seung-won and the investors bit on the bait. When Lee Je-ha opened up about his feelings toward Lee Da-eum and asked for help, Boo Seung-won admonished him to collect himself but emphasized to hide Lee Da-eum's terminal situation.
After a long day filled with unexpected scandals and rumors, Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum managed to find a smile only when they were together. They still needed each other, and the two, who loved each other, promised firmly to keep the truth of their terminal status a secret until the film was finished, vowing to face any dangers together, which was a touching moment.
Subsequently, Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum revealed the secrets they had kept from each other in front of the staff and actors involved in the film. Correcting the rumor of audition favoritism while revealing their relationship, as well as Lee Da-eum's terminal illness and the fact that they were cast despite knowing it, left everyone present at the scene in shock and disbelief.
Even as people's gazes focused on them, Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum only looked at each other, intensifying the emotional atmosphere. It raises curiosity about whether Lee Je-ha and Lee Da-eum can successfully complete the film and protect their love while overcoming the waves of trials together.
