Actor Ahn Hyo-seop showcased his idol side on 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile'.
On Nov. 11, during the broadcast of KBS 2TV music talk show 'The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile', actor Ahn Hyo-seop appeared and had a conversation with Park Bo-gum.
Ahn Hyo-seop provided voice acting for the character Jin-woo, a member of the Lion Boys, in the Netflix film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', which was released on Oct. 20, and is approaching his screen debut as Kim Dok-ja in the movie 'All-Seeing Reader', which will be released on the 23rd.
That day, Park Bo-gum introduced actor Ahn Hyo-seop, saying, "The guest we have today is an actor who has received much love for his chameleon-like performances, sometimes as a romantic doctor, sometimes as a CEO on a blind date, and sometimes as an idol. From the all-seeing Bo-gum perspective, he is a perfect man without a flaw."
Ahn Hyo-seop, who came on stage with the song 'SODA POP' by Lion Boys, greeted, "I didn’t know there would be so many people here. I look forward to your support. I am actor Ahn Hyo-seop," while smiling. Park Bo-gum admired Ahn Hyo-seop's visuals and asked, "I hear today is your first appearance on a music broadcast. How do you feel?" Ahn Hyo-seop replied, "It’s a program I’ve enjoyed watching, and I didn’t think I would be appearing, so I am extremely nervous," and asked, "Please help me out a lot."
In particular, Park Bo-gum said, "You appeared as Jin-woo of the Lion Boys in 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' This project achieved first place in 41 countries on Netflix, and the insert song reached number one on the Spotify chart in the U.S. Congratulations!" Ahn Hyo-seop responded, "Acting in English was my first time, so I was very nervous, but it was also fun. I liked animation, so there was enjoyment in seeing the process of creation."
Although it was Ahn Hyo-seop's first appearance on a music broadcast through 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile', he performed as many as five songs that day. Starting with Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years', he sang Seo Ji-won's 'Collecting My Tears', Yoon Jae-ha's 'In Your Arms', and Kim Dong-ryul's 'Thank You', while still appearing nervous as he held the microphone. He also passionately sang YB's 'White Whale' as his final song.
While singing five songs, Ahn Hyo-seop demonstrated excellent vocal ability, and before singing 'Thank You', he adjusted his pitch himself, showing his genuine commitment to the performance. Before his debut, Ahn Hyo-seop lived as a trainee under JYP Entertainment for three years with the members of GOT7 and DAY6.
Meanwhile, the movie 'All-Seeing Reader', in which Ahn Hyo-seop appears, will be released on July 23.
