When Kim Jae-won from Heart on Wheels was misunderstood as a YouTuber with the same name by the students, he felt frustrated.
In the episode aired on Nov. 11 on KBS 2TV's entertainment program Heart on Wheels (hereafter referred to as 'Haogeong'), Kim Jae-won's disappointment during a popularity vote was depicted as he visited an elementary school located in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province.
As soon as he entered the classroom, the children cheered in unison, shouting 'Kim Jae-won.' Surprised by the unexpected cheers, Kim Jae-won responded with 'Hello,' and Lee Min-jung exclaimed, 'Kim Jae-won is now the children's president. It’s now Jae-won's era.'
The members then conducted a popularity vote. While the vote was being held, the boys continued to shout 'Kim Jae-won.' Dean Dean even remarked, 'I feel like I came to the wrong place; can I leave?'
As a result of the voting, Boom, Ahn Jae-hyun, Lee Min-jung, and Kim Jeong-hyun received votes in that order. At that moment, Kim Jeong-hyun immediately approached a female student who said she picked him because 'he is handsome' and gave her a high five.
However, there was a twist to Kim Jae-won's popularity as the children's president. There was a YouTuber with the same name, 'Kim Jae-won.' This YouTuber was a gaming YouTuber with 1.84 million subscribers, and it was revealed that the students mistakenly voted for him, thinking they were voting for the same person.
Kim Jae-won clarified, 'I'm not a YouTuber,' but the continued ballots claimed, 'I know YouTuber Kim Jae-won's name.' Boom said, 'We should take half of the votes away from Jae-won,' and a bewildered Kim Jae-won appealed, 'I'm an actor, you know? We watched 'King the Land.' I'm a flight attendant.'
Despite this, Kim Jae-won felt defeated as he sat down in despair at the children's seemingly oblivious reactions. Boom concluded, 'Despite everything, the first place in the popularity vote is Kim Jae-won, regardless of YouTuber Kim Jae-won.'
Meanwhile, Boom expressed gratitude to the child who cast a precious vote. Lee Min-jung remarked, 'Oh, that's so sweet. (Boom) has a lot of work to do,' before asking, 'Why are you about to cry?'
Dean Dean shouted, 'It’s a secret vote, but you made it public, so I’m crying, boo hoo,' and Boom, who was unexpectedly moved to tears, flusteredly replied, 'No, I’m thankful... I feel touched by that. Thank you.'
