Yang Se-hyung appeared on 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Sturant' and revealed the story of failing the Korean traditional chef certification exam.

On the Nov. 11 broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' (hereinafter 'Fun-Staurant'), Lee Sang-woo, known for his culinary skills, was seen inviting his foodie friend Yang Se-hyung.

On that day, Lee Sang-woo said, "You’re good at cooking and you’re a foodie. I want to hear from you whether I’m doing well with my cooking skills," and began grilling pork belly over charcoal.

Lee Sang-woo noted, "The sauce is important, and this is my secret sauce. I want you to try two different flavors," raising curiosity.

The first secret sauce was canari sauce. Lee Sang-woo explained, "My younger brother was stationed at Baengnyeongdo during his Marine Corps service and ate pork belly with canari sauce. Twenty years ago, my brother said it was delicious when he brushed canari sauce on pork belly. He came back with a can of canari sauce when he was discharged. I didn't think much of it back then, but it came back to mind 20 years later, so I thought we should try it out."

Tasting this, Yang Se-hyung said, "It's delicious. Really delicious. It feels like it's not just canari sauce, but that several additional flavors were added. The salted fish neutralizes the greasy taste of the meat."

The second sauce was ssamjang sauce. While applying it infinitely and flipping the meat, Lee Sang-woo asked, "Don't you have the Korean traditional chef certification?" However, Yang Se-hyung revealed he had failed twice. He said, "The first time, I made everything but dropped the food, and the second time, I finished everything but was relaxed because I had time left and ended up falling into a trap of cheating while my friendly mother was giving me cooking tips."
