Yoon Jeong-soo also shared the story of his home in Cheongdam-dong being auctioned off. He suffered significant losses when a luxury APT. he purchased for 1.34 billion won went to auction due to a guarantee failure on his debt. The current market price of that APT. is about 4.2 billion won, meaning he not only lost the purchase price but also missed out on a market gain of about 3 billion won.
The estimated loss from the Cheongdam-dong APT. alone is calculated to be about 2.8 to 3 billion won, considering the purchase price of 1.34 billion won and a current market price of about 4.2 billion won. Yoon Jeong-soo's total loss from real estate failures is estimated to be around 7.5 billion won for the Banpo APT. and about 2.8 to 3 billion won for the auctioned Cheongdam-dong APT., making the total estimated loss about 10 billion won.
Yoon Jeong-soo said, “At that time, the interest was 9 million won per month. All my grants were seized, and I had my water and electricity cut off, relying on drinking water for laundry,” as he teared up.
