Comedian Kim Young-chul has been urgently transported to a hospital due to sudden health deterioration, causing concern among fans and colleagues.
Kim Young-chul said on the 11th via his social media, "I barely ate breakfast on Wednesday at SBS and went home, but suddenly I craved jjajangmyeon and ramen, so I ate them both at once. However, the jjajang was a bit spicy. About 30 minutes later, my stomach started to hurt badly."
He noted, "I took stomachache medication at the pharmacy and took a nap, but there was no improvement. Eventually, around midnight, I headed to the emergency room (Suncheonhyang University Hospital)," revealing the process that led him to seek medical attention urgently.
The diagnosis from the medical staff was "paralytic ileus." Kim Young-chul explained, "It was a temporary pause in my intestines. They said I needed hospitalization, so now I am hospitalized," also sharing a photo of himself lying in bed.
He continued, "I was really in a lot of pain, and it was fortunate that I went to the emergency room even at dawn. The nurse and doctor mentioned that many emergency patients come in with this illness more than expected. Be cautious with food, especially in the summer, and avoid spicy and salty foods. Especially those who are "spice-sensitive" like me, be careful," urging fans to take care of their health.
Due to his sudden hospitalization, the SBS radio show "Kim Young-chul's Power FM" that Kim Young-chul is hosting was taken over by comedian Heo Kyung-hwan during the broadcast.
