Actor Park Yong-woo joins the cast of 'Eunsu's Good Day' in a leading role, firmly shouldering the center of the story.
The new KBS 2TV weekend miniseries 'Eunsu's Good Day', directed by Song Hyun-wook and written by Jeon Yeong-sin, is set to debut in September. It depicts the dangerous and desperate partnership of a parent, Kang Eunsu, who wants to protect her family, and the two-faced teacher Lee Kyung, who stumble upon a bag of drugs.
'Eunsu's Good Day' is a well-made project that brings together Song Hyun-wook, recognized as a master of detail across various genres, and writer Jeon Yeong-sin, known for her high-density reality and delicate writing skills. With Park Yong-woo completing the final puzzle of the trio alongside Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang, it has emerged as one of the most anticipated works of the latter half of the year.
Park Yong-woo plays 'Jang Tae-goo', the Head of Team of the Drug Unit at Gwangnam Police Station, a veteran detective who tracks the drug trafficking organization with his keen judgment and persistent investigative skills. With an extraordinarily sharp intuition, his nickname is 'the fortune teller.' Once his intuition kicks in, it's 99% accurate. His specialty is extracting confessions using his words without resorting to violence. While searching for the lost drug bag of the drug trafficking organization Phantom, they obtain a clue from Eunsu and begin to suspect her.
Having left a strong impression with his impactful performances in dramas like 'Hunter with a Scalpel,' 'Tracer Seasons 1 and 2,' and 'Priest,' as well as films like 'Decision to Leave,' 'The Out-Law,' and 'Car Center,' Park Yong-woo has solidified his role as a central figure in each work, driving the immersion of the narrative. Regardless of the genre, Park Yong-woo has demonstrated solid acting prowess and is set to showcase another acting transformation through his complex character in 'Eunsu's Good Day,' where coldness and emotional fractures coexist.
'Eunsu's Good Day' production team noted, "Park Yong-woo, who has shown a unique affection for the work, exhibited such a deep character interpretation that one could not imagine Jang Tae-goo without him, showcasing an impeccable synchronization rate." They added, "His addition has undoubtedly elevated the lineup's overall quality. Park Yong-woo will infuse solid gravity, a sharp emotional line, and bring intense tension throughout the entire drama, so we ask for much anticipation."
'Eunsu's Good Day', scheduled as KBS 2TV's second weekend miniseries, will air for audiences in the second half of this year, debuting in September.
