G-Dragon's side said, 'due to the record-breaking heat wave'... the reason for the concert cancellation has been clarified belatedly

As G-Dragon suddenly canceled his concert in Bangkok, Thailand, his agency belatedly revealed specific reasons. Initially, an ambiguous announcement stating 'unexpected circumstances' drew backlash from fans, leading to interpretations that this clarification was a late decision for damage control.

G-Dragon's agency, Galaxy Corporation, announced through their official channel on the 11th that the concert 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [bermensch]' scheduled for August 2 in Bangkok, Thailand, has been canceled. The initial announcement included only a brief statement saying, 'It is regrettable that we are unable to hold the concert due to unexpected circumstances,' and disappointment and protests followed from fans eagerly anticipating the concert.

In particular, among fans who had prepared flight tickets and accommodations in advance for the Bangkok concert, there were criticisms stating, 'the announcement lacked sincerity,' and 'not providing a clear explanation is rude.'

In response, the agency clarified the exact background of the concert cancellation as criticism continued. Galaxy Corporation explained, 'Recently, the Bangkok area has experienced an unprecedented heat wave leading to a series of heatstroke patients, and considering the nature of the Rajamangala National Stadium, which is an outdoor venue, we made the decision prioritizing the safety of the audience.'

They added, 'We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused to local fans,' and requested understanding, saying, 'all decisions were made with fans' health and safety as the foremost priority.'

G-Dragon opened the world tour dramatically at the Goyang Sports Complex in March. However, there is still a voice of disappointment that if there had been more honest and transparent communication from the start regarding the cancellation of the Bangkok concert. The disappointment seemed to revolve more around the manner of seeking fans' understanding than the cancellation itself.

With this public sentiment in mind, G-Dragon's side plans to meet fans with a substitute concert even though the scheduled concert has been canceled.
