Comedian Kim Suk expressed concern over Kim Young-chul's battle with paralytic ileus.
Kim Young-chul said on the 11th on his SNS, "On Wednesday, I returned home almost unable to eat breakfast from SBS, and suddenly I wanted to eat jajangmyeon and ramen at the same time. The jajang was slightly spicy, and after about 30 minutes, my stomach began to hurt as if it was being scratched. I took stomach pain medication from the pharmacy, and even after taking a nap, there was no improvement, and ultimately around midnight, I went to the emergency room (Soonchunhyang University Hospital)." He revealed that he had visited the emergency room around midnight on Thursday.
He continued, "The diagnosis was 'paralytic ileus,' which is a temporary cessation of bowel movement and required hospitalization, so I am currently admitted to the hospital," revealing a photo of himself hospitalized.
He added, "I was in a lot of pain, and it was fortunate that I went to the emergency room right away, even in the early morning. The nurse and doctor said that there are quite a few emergency patients who come in with this condition. Be careful with food during the summer, and watch out for spicy and salty foods! Especially for those like me who are sensitive to spiciness, let's meet again in good health."
Due to the sudden hospital visit, Huh Kyung-hwan took over the hosting of SBS Radio's 'Kim Young-chul's Power FM.'
Concern from fellow celebrities continued over Kim Young-chul's hospitalization. In particular, Kim Suk expressed her worry, saying, "Don’t be in pain~~~ Should I move back next door??"
