Broadcaster Kim Young-cheol went to the emergency room due to paralytic ileus, while junior comedian Heo Gyeong-hwan filled in as the live broadcast DJ.
On the morning of the 11th, Heo Gyeong-hwan served as a special DJ during the live broadcasting of SBS Radio's 'Kim Young-cheol's Power FM (abbreviated as Cheolpaem).' Heo, a close junior of the existing DJ Kim Young-cheol, who was absent due to personal reasons, stepped up to keep 'Cheolpaem' running. Given Kim Young-cheol's usual reliability in maintaining 'Cheolpaem,' his unexpected absence caused shock.
In relation to this, Kim Young-cheol personally revealed the reason via his individual SNS account early that same morning. He disclosed a photo of himself in a patient gown, stating that he had visited the emergency room around midnight and explained, "The diagnosis was 'paralytic ileus,' indicating that my intestines had temporarily stopped, and I was advised that hospitalization was necessary, so I am currently hospitalized."
The situation surrounding Kim Young-cheol's hospitalization after going to the emergency room has shocked many. He explained, "I'm feeling much better now, but seafood (what I ate in the last 48 hours can't be overlooked) and spicy food were a direct hit." He added, "It was really painful, and it was fortunate that I went to the emergency room immediately, even if it was in the early hours," urging those around him to be cautious about food intake during the summer. Additionally, he mentioned to Heo Gyeong-hwan, "Thanks for filling in today with 'it’s all good.'"
Meanwhile, the production team of 'Cheolpaem' expressed gratitude to Heo Gyeong-hwan for his sudden appearance. A photo of Heo preparing for the broadcast in the 'Cheolpaem' studio was posted on the official SNS account.
In relation to this, the 'Cheolpaem' team stated, "With a special DJ here, we rushed to fill in the space of the absent Cheol PD from 7 a.m., honorably and promptly," mentioning the phrase from Heo Gyeong-hwan, "Cheolgaru! You absolutely must not miss today!"
'Cheolpaem' is a morning information radio program broadcast on SBS Power FM every day from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. It is commonly referred to as 'Cheolpaem,' derived from '(Kim Young) Cheol's (Power)(FM).' Since its first broadcast on Oct. 24, 2016, Kim Young-cheol has served as the long-running DJ for 10 years.

On Wednesday, I returned home almost without eating the SBS breakfast,
Suddenly I craved to eat both jajangmyeon and ramen at the same time.
The jajang was slightly spicy, and after about 30 minutes, my stomach started to hurt like it was being scratched.
I had stomachache medicine from the pharmacy, but even taking a nap didn't help,
Eventually, around midnight, I went to the emergency room (at Soonchunhyang Hospital).
The diagnosis was 'paralytic ileus'
indicating that my intestines had temporarily stopped, and hospitalization was needed,
so I am currently hospitalized.
I am feeling much better now, but,
seafood (what I ate in the last 48 hours can't be overlooked) and spicy food were a direct hit.
It was really painful,
and I was lucky to have gone to the emergency room right away, even if it was in the early hours.
The nurses and doctor said that quite a few patients come in with this condition.
Be cautious about food during the summer,
"Spicy and salty food are to be careful of!" Especially those of us who are sensitive to spice.
I will greet you again in good health.
Thank you for filling in today, Gyeong-hwan, with "it’s all good."
