Comedian Kim Young-chul (51) revealed that he is hospitalized after visiting the emergency room due to acute abdominal pain.
On the 11th, Kim Young-chul posted a long message along with a photo of himself in a hospital gown on his social media service (SNS).
He wrote, “On Wednesday, I returned home after almost not eating the SBS breakfast and suddenly wanted to eat jjajangmyeon and ramen at the same time. The jjajang was slightly spicy, and about 30 minutes later, my stomach started to hurt like it was scratched.”
He continued, “I took abdominal pain medicine from the pharmacy and even napped, but there was no improvement. Eventually, around midnight, I went to the emergency room at Soonchunhyang University Hospital. The diagnosis was paralytic ileus.”
Kim Young-chul explained, “My intestines had temporarily stopped, and they said I needed hospitalization, so I am currently admitted. I am feeling much better now, but they said seafood and spicy food were like a direct hit.”
He added, “It was really painful, and I'm glad I went to the emergency room right away, even at dawn. During summer, please be careful with food, and watch out for spicy and salty food! Especially for people like me who can't handle spice.”
Finally, Kim Young-chul said, “I will greet you again healthily,” expressing gratitude to comedian Heo Gyeong-hwan for taking over the radio hosting on that day.
Seeing this, broadcaster Kang Soo-jung commented, “Oh my brother. You really did well to go to the emergency room right away,” while rapper Haha cheered, “Get well soon, older brother.”
