Joo Young-hoon provided an update after his emergency surgery.
On the 9th, a VIP photo wall event for the movie 'The King of Kings' (directed by Jang Seong-ho, produced by Moback Studio, distributed by Distation, co-distributed by Siteus) took place at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul.
Amid numerous stars attending the event, Joo Young-hoon and Lee Yoon-mi’s family made an appearance with their children.
In particular, Joo Young-hoon recently informed others of his emergency surgery, which raised concerns. Previously, Joo Young-hoon and Lee Yoon-mi's family had traveled to Jeju Island, but on the 1st, Joo Young-hoon complained of sudden chills and severe abdominal pain, leading to a series of emergency room visits.
Ultimately, he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, commonly known as 'appendicitis,' and underwent an urgent appendectomy. Many expressed sympathy upon hearing this news.
On that day, Joo Young-hoon, who appeared at the event, said, "I was in the hospital, and when Jesus came, I ran over. I need to rest more. I’m not fully recovered, but I came because of this."
He also added about the work, "There hasn’t been a family-friendly movie, and it’s really unusual for a Korean animation to gain worldwide interest, so I think it’s something to celebrate as a Korean, regardless of religion. I hope many people watch it."
Meanwhile, Lee Yoon-mi and Joo Young-hoon got married in 2006 and have two daughters.
