Tributes and gratitude for the late actress Park Ji-a's final work, 'Salon de Holmes,' have been expressed.
Park Ji-a's younger brother shared a memorial video produced by ENA drama 'Salon de Holmes' on his social media on the 9th and conveyed deep gratitude to those who shared his sister's last moments.
He wrote, "Sister, this really became your last work," adding, "To the director and staff of 'Salon de Holmes,' actress Nam Gi-ae, actress Lee Si-young, and all the other actors who joined us, thank you. I believe that the good memories and memories you've left behind will make my sister happy in heaven."
On the same day, a video titled 'The last letter sent to the late Park Ji-a from Salon de Holmes' was posted on ENA's official YouTube channel. The video contained a statement from Park Ji-a when she appeared as a presenter at the Baeksang Arts Awards: "I felt like I was shining at that moment, as everyone applauded for me, who is nothing important." This left a profound resonance for viewers.
In particular, the production team of 'Salon de Holmes' publicly shared scenes from Park Ji-a's filming, stating, "Actress Park Ji-a always maintained a humble attitude and diligently worked for each fleeting moment. We will cherish and remember the name of someone who laughed and cried with us on set."
Director Min Jin-gi said to OSEN, "Actress Park Ji-a showed a stronger passion for acting than anyone else, even while fighting her illness. Although she didn't mention that she was ill, so her fellow actors and staff weren't aware, she never lost her smile on set and reacted fully to the acting of other actors; she was a true professional," reflecting on the professionalism of the late actress.
He continued, "Looking back on the scenes we breathed together, it seems that actress Park Ji-a was a brilliant actress who poured all her energy into her acting like a flame, even while burning herself out. I wish her peace."
Park Ji-a passed away on Sept. 30 last year after battling a cerebral infarction. She was 52 years old. During her lifetime, she left a strong impression on viewers as the mother of Moon Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo) in the hit Netflix series 'The Glory.' She continued her acting career without pause, appearing in various works such as 'Strong Woman Do Bong-soon,' 'Dear Hongrang,' and 'The Old Woman with the Knife.'
The late Park Ji-a became a lasting memory for many, burning with passion for acting until the end in 'Salon de Holmes.'
