All members of the group ATEEZ have renewed their contracts with KQ Entertainment, surpassing the 'seven-year curse.'
KQ Entertainment announced on the 10th, "After in-depth discussions with the members of ATEEZ, we have completed the renewal of contracts for all eight members, including Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho for seven years. We are pleased to continue this relationship based on the trust built over the past seven years."
They also noted, "We will continue to provide full support so that each member can demonstrate their infinite capabilities and move on to bigger and broader stages," raising expectations for future activities.
Previously, at a press conference held last month to commemorate the release of their mini album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part 3,' ATEEZ discussed the possibility of contract renewal. At the time, leader Hongjoong stated, "We have been thinking a lot about how to show ATEEZ in various ways for a long time. We will deliver good news soon," signaling positivity. With the news of all members renewing their contracts, excitement is building for ATEEZ's 'top-class' activities on the global stage.
ATEEZ debuted in the music industry in October 2018 with their mini album 'TREASURE EP.1: All To Zero.' Since then, they have received immense love from global fans, being called 'top performers' and 'performance kings' for their perfect harmony of unique music and intense performances with every album released.
In particular, ATEEZ achieved remarkable success by entering the U.S. Billboard main chart 'Billboard 200' for the first time with their mini album 'ZERO: FEVER Part 3' in 2021, and reaching No. 1 on the same chart with their 2023 full album 'THE WORLD EP FIN: WILL.' They followed this with a second No. 1 on the 'Billboard 200' with their mini album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part 2,' released last November.
Most notably, the title track 'Lemon Drop' from their mini album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part 3,' released in June this year, entered the U.S. Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' at No. 69, marking a historic achievement as the first time the team has placed on that chart. Alongside this, they recorded No. 2 on the 'Billboard 200,' showcasing their powerful presence by dominating the main Billboard charts simultaneously.
Additionally, last year, they made headlines by becoming the first K-pop boy group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest music festival in the U.S. They captivated global music fans with flawless live performances and stunning visuals, solidifying their status as a 'global sensation' artist.
Sharing the delightful news of all members renewing their contracts, ATEEZ will release their mini album 'GOLDEN HOUR: Part 3 'In Your Fantasy Edition'' on the 11th at 1 p.m.
Furthermore, on the 5th and 6th, they launched their spectacular 'ATEEZ 2025 WORLD TOUR 'IN YOUR FANTASY'' at Inspire Arena in Incheon Yeongjongdo, traveling to 12 cities in North America, including Atlanta, New York, Baltimore, Nashville, Orlando, Chicago, Tacoma, San Jose, Los Angeles, Glendale, Arlington, and Mexico City, before heading to Japan for global excursions in Saitama, Nagoya, and Kobe.
