The ‘HYBE J-Pop boy group’ aoen is achieving remarkable success in the Japanese music market right after their debut.
On the 10th, according to the Japan Record Association, aoen (Yuju, Ruka, Gaku, Hikaru, Sota, Kyosuke, Reo) had their debut single ‘The Blue Sun’ surpass 100,000 units in cumulative shipments as of June, earning the Gold Disc ‘Gold’ certification.
The Japan Record Association divides certifications based on cumulative shipments into categories such as ‘Gold’ (for over 100,000 units), ‘Platinum’ (for over 250,000 units), ‘Double Platinum’ (for over 500,000 units), ‘Triple Platinum’ (for over 750,000 units), and Million (for over 1,000,000 units).
‘The Blue Sun’ is an album that captures the positive energy and passion of aoen, featuring their aspiration to break existing molds and move forward in their own way. The album, including the title track ‘The Blue Sun’ as well as ‘Blue Flame’, ‘Circle Ring’, and ‘FINISH LINE ~Last Race, New Start~’, contains a total of four songs.
aoen is a seven-member boy group formed through the audition program ‘Cheering-HIGH ~Dream’s START LINE~’ aired on Nihon TV from February to April. They previously gained attention by reaching number one on the Japanese Oricon Daily Single Ranking as of June 15 with ‘The Blue Sun’. The recent certification from the Record Association further demonstrates the team’s rising popularity.
