Following ILLIT's Wonhee, singer Lee Young-ji has also fallen victim to the same scam.
On the morning of the 10th, Lee Young-ji posted a video through her personal account unboxing a toy random box, saying, "Please tell me if this is real or not, my love."
Lee Young-ji asked, "Can you tell me if this is true?" before confessing that she was scammed, stating, "They said my love was fake... it was a fake love." She then expressed her disappointment, saying, "The box looked real... I'll buy the genuine product and unbox it again, everyone, don't be deceived, buy the genuine one... I was so excited thinking I pulled a secret in my first try."
Earlier, last month, ILLIT member Wonhee also confessed to being a victim of counterfeit products after purchasing a toy figure of my love. At that time, Wonhee said, "I got scammed... this is just not right," and shared a photo of the counterfeit doll that differed from the genuine one.
The figure doll in question is my love, which has recently gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally and is a representative character doll sold by a toy corporation in China. It is currently experiencing a stock shortage due to its popularity, leading to an increase in places creating and selling counterfeit products.
As a result, both Lee Young-ji and Wonhee purchased the items thinking they were genuine, only to fall victim to counterfeits. Wonhee couldn't hide her disappointment, saying, "The box looked real..."
