Legendary mukbang figures boasted revenues that rival celebrities.
The 7th episode of the YouTube show 'Sisters’ Party,' released on the 9th, featured popular YouTuber Hibap, a 10-year veteran first-generation mukbang creator Nado, and the rising star known as 'mukbang combination master' Park Doo-gi as guests, engaging in a delightful mukbang talk with MC Kim Ddol-dol.
This episode, in particular, attracted significant attention as it revealed the revenues of mukbang YouTubers. Park Doo-gi honestly stated, "Last month’s revenue was 6 million won," surprising everyone when Hibap commented, "At my peak, I earned about 100 million won a month." The conversation flowed from behind-the-scenes of YouTube content creation to discussions about ideal types.
Hibap reflected, "The highest views on a single post are around 8 to 9 million views," adding, "I ate 4 pizzas, 30 twisted doughnuts, and 3 sets of pork cutlet within 8 hours," which impressed the other guests. When asked about the secret to maintaining a slim figure, he remarked, "Exercise is part of my daily routine. Even when there’s a drinking appointment, I run 5 kilometers to the venue."
Park Doo-gi expressed pride, saying, "The combination of 'mala xiang guo + egg sushi' and 'spicy chicken + ranch sauce' is something I started first," and stated, "Mukbang combinations come to mind like a revelation." He listed his ideal type as "a man with big pectoral muscles and dark skin," confirming mutual preferences with MC Kim Ddol-dol and eliciting laughter.
Nado shared an industry insight, stating, "Ramen is the truth. It gets more views than expensive food," while unveiling his recipe for 'cheesy ramen' made with 4 slices of cheese and milk, drawing stormy reactions from the other guests.
Meanwhile, 'Sisters’ Party' is a YouTube talk show with a home party concept that only female guests can attend. Previously, guests have included Ok-sun from 'I Am Solo' season 24, comedians Shin Ki-ru and Jeong Ju-ri, broadcaster Seo Yu-ri, former Laboum member Yul-hee, and Nancy Lang.
