Koyote's Shinji said regarding the opposition from fans and the controversy over Moon Won's private life after announcing their marriage, "I am aware of the concerns and understand them."
On the morning of the 9th, Shinji shared her feelings about the ongoing controversy following her recent marriage announcement with Moon Won during the 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show' segment 'The Bold Remarks of Backshin' aired on KBS Cool FM.
That day, Shinji stated, "First of all, many people have shown concern and worry for me. I think there was a long period where I lived thinking that I wasn’t loved by so many people; going through this series of events made me realize once again that I have received a lot of love for 27 years."
She continued, "I need to live more responsibly, showing joyful sides to the members, and I thought I must live with a sense of responsibility in various matters. I apologize if I caused discomfort to many people."
Hearing Shinji's story, Park Myung-soo said, "I trust Shinji, and since it's her choice, I respect it. However, I hope she will show a good image regarding the concerns many people have. If it was a wrong perception, showing a good side would be sufficient." To this, Shinji added, "I also fully recognize and understand the concern and worry."
Koyote's agency, Jayeststar, announced on the 23rd of last month that Shinji and Moon Won would marry in the first half of next year. In the meantime, on the 2nd, Shinji released a video on YouTube showing her fiancé Moon Won meeting Koyote members Baekga and Kim Jong-min.
However, following the release of the video, online, there were continued criticisms regarding the private life allegations concerning Moon Won's previous divorce and that he has a daughter, along with accusations that he does not respect Shinji.
Eventually, on the 8th, the agency released a statement saying, "Moon Won has conveyed once again that he deeply reflects on the inappropriate remarks and actions pointed out by everyone during our conversation." They also provided explanations regarding specific controversial issues.
On the same day, Shinji also clarified, "I apologize for the delay in sharing my position as I needed time to verify the facts regarding various allegations. I have confirmed with the agency that all of your concerned opinions and allegations were not true."
