"Low Life" enhanced its quality with the participation of music director Yoon Il-sang.

On the 9th, the team behind the Disney+ original "Low Life" (written by Kang Yoon-sung and Ahn Seung-hwan, directed by Kang Yoon-sung, abbreviated as "Low Life") announced Yoon Il-sang's involvement as music director.

"Low Life" is a drama that tells the deceitful stories of hardworking local folk who gather to claim a treasure ship buried in the sea in 1977. It is adapted from the webtoon of the same name by writer Yoon Tae-ho, who received critical acclaim for works such as "Misaeng," "Moss," and "The Outlaws."

Attention is focused on the synergy expected from the sensory music of music director Yoon Il-sang, who participated in the drama, and the thrilling story set to unfold in the waters off Sinan. In particular, music director Yoon Il-sang has previously worked with director Kang Yoon-sung as music director for Disney+'s original series "Casino." This verified collaboration anticipates the birth of another hit series.

Yoon Il-sang, a representative composer of Korea who has created numerous hit songs such as Kim Bum-soo's "End Love," "I Miss You," Lee Seung-chul's "Fate," and Lee Eun-mi's "I Have a Lover," has left a profound impression by working on various projects, including the film "The Outlaws 4" and "Aksung" in addition to "Casino." Yoon Il-sang's sensory music world is expected to breathe life into the thrilling developments toward treasure in "Low Life" and complete a distinctive atmosphere.

Director Kang Yoon-sung, who directed "Low Life," noted, "We had many discussions about the music with music director Yoon Il-sang. When we thought about ‘70s music, it was common sense to think that it would be 'ppong-jjak,' or old melodies, but ultimately we discussed adding a slightly Western-style music." He revealed that, while maintaining the era's characteristics, they reinterpreted the sound with a new genre approach to complete a distinctive '70s music, which sparks curiosity.

He continued, "The music director purchased a guitar and music equipment that could create Western-style music for the project. In that sense, a lot of unique music that fits well with the tone of the piece and the period atmosphere came out," indicating the lively colors of Yoon Il-sang's music throughout the series.

"Low Life" will start airing on the 16th with 3 episodes initially released and will be available in 2 episodes every Wednesday for a total of 11 episodes.
