Heejin from 'The Return of Superman' revealed the reason for planning a second child.
In the episode aired on the 9th on KBS2's entertainment show 'The Return of Superman' (hereafter 'Soodol'), 'Super Mom' Heejin, known as the protagonist under the moniker 'Children's President', appeared with her 23-month-old daughter Chaeyu.
With her due date coming on the 10th, Heejin recalled her first childbirth while playing with her husband and daughter Chaeyu. Heejin said, "If I had given birth earlier, I would have had three. I think I would have had my first daughter and a second son, but it feels a bit regretful."
In the studio, Jang Dongmin said, "You can still have three now," but Heejin shook her head and replied, "It's hard." In response, Ahn Youngmi pointed to herself, Choi Jiwoo, and Park Suhong, saying, "Here are the icons of advanced maternal age. You can have four more."
Most importantly, Heejin expressed her fear about giving birth to a second child, saying, "The first one was completely different, but this time it's a bit different. I'm really scared. I feel like I will cry a lot," adding, "Now that I know the process."
She continued, "I originally had no fear, but since I know it, I guess it's scary," and her husband empathized, saying, "You struggled a lot then. The anesthesia didn't work well." Heejin responded, "At that time, I had a strong desire to see my face quickly and to meet you."
So what is the reason behind planning for a second child despite all that hardship? Heejin revealed, "After giving birth to Chaeyu, I realized that I had a bit of a fear of death, and thinking about leaving Chaeyu alone if I died, I couldn't let that happen. The second child seemed almost essential rather than a choice for us."
Meanwhile, Heejin transformed into a pink princess to appear in front of her daughter. She said, "When the second child comes, I heard that they feel a lot of guilt toward the first child. I didn't think I would feel that way, but suddenly thinking that I can't spend all my time on Chaeyu makes me feel a bit uneasy. I want to spend the remaining time meaningfully, so when Chaeyu wants it, I intend to willingly provide plenty when she wants to do something."
