The members of the group NAUZ reminisced about the advice given by YUQI of (G)I-DLE and WOOSUK of PENTAGON while directing 'Fly Freely.'
On the afternoon of the 9th, a showcase celebrating the release of NAUZ's mini album 'IGNITION' was held at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
This year, NAUZ marks its 1st anniversary since debut and recently announced a rebranding alongside a name change, reestablishing the team's identity and signaling their transformation into a mainstream group. As the new team name implies, 'At this moment, envisioning infinite possibilities,' they are expected to showcase limitless charm through their first mini album 'IGNITION.'
The pre-released track 'Fly Freely (Feat. YUQI)' has showcased NAUZ's lyrical yet refreshing charm in the cinematic soul pop genre. It reached number one on the daily chart of new songs on China's QQ Music, and its hand dance challenge has ranked high on the challenge popularity chart on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
When asked if there was any advice received during the work on 'Fly Freely,' Yeonwoo said, 'Senior YUQI advised me to not overdo it and to keep it natural by relaxing.' Hyunbin added, 'I'll never forget when senior YUQI and senior WOOSUK said, 'You guys are really handsome.' It was encouraging,' which drew laughter.
Additionally, Jinhyuk shared, 'As I was rapping during the directing, senior WOOSUK gave me a lot of advice. I was working on the flow, and senior WOOSUK talked a lot about direction, so I could learn things I didn't know. I realized that doing it this way brings a different feel.'
Meanwhile, NAUZ's mini album 'IGNITION' will be released today (9th) at 6 p.m. on various music streaming sites.
