The comic master Heo Young-man, who appeared on 'Radio Star,' mentions his junior Lee Mal-nyeon as someone who made him contemplate retirement, sharing his affection and candid advice.
The MBC 'Radio Star' special 'Slurp! Foodie Road' featuring Heo Young-man, Choiza, Lee Guk-joo, and Park Eun-young will air today at 10:30 p.m.
In a video released before the broadcast, Heo Young-man, a comic artist with 52 years of experience, reveals a moment when he contemplated retirement. He praises his junior comic artist Lee Mal-nyeon, saying, “He was doing well” regarding the comic he serialized in the newspaper.
Heo Young-man, who had high hopes for Lee Mal-nyeon's comics, expresses disappointment at the changes in his art style, saying, “What if you change to something you can't draw?” Kim Gook-jin noted, “It seems Heo Young-man had a lot of affection for Lee Mal-nyeon. Otherwise, there's no need to talk about it.”
Heo Young-man also leaves a video message for Lee Mal-nyeon. He says, “I really thought highly of him when he was serializing in the newspaper; it felt like a new star was emerging,” and adds, “Call me to have a drink.” Yoo Se-yoon, who saw this, humorously remarks, “Soon, aren't you going to appear on the YouTube channel of the calm man, Heo Young-man?”
