A person who divorced due to infidelity and domestic violence appeared, but they are not receiving child support.
On the broadcast of KBS Joy's 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller' on the 7th, the story of a person struggling with not receiving child support from their ex-husband was revealed.
The person mentioned they currently have two children and was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the time of divorce and is undergoing treatment, with metastasis now reaching their spine. They expressed their concerns about not being able to receive child support from their ex-husband.
The person said, "When we divorced, my ex-husband took the children. He said he wouldn't provide child support because I am a cancer patient and a recipient of basic living assistance."
The person said, "After the divorce, the children expressed that they wanted to live with their mother. Later, I found out that he had been bringing another woman to our home." They continued, "The children were 9 years old and 6 years old. If they didn't do as he wished, he would make them lie face down and hit their bottoms with a fly swatter and a shoehorn. I reported this as child abuse."
The person stated, "The reason for the divorce was infidelity. He had been caught 5 or 6 times. There were also financial issues. I received 90 million won in cancer insurance money, but I used it to pay off my ex-husband's debts. There was domestic violence as well. I was under so much stress during our 10 years of marriage that I developed depression and even attempted suicide," sharing about their difficult marriage.
The person mentioned, "When I was 7 months pregnant, I said I would stay at my friend’s house because I was feeling upset. He agreed, but I had a bad feeling. When I returned home, he was drinking with a friend, and I saw a woman running away."
The person said they met their ex-husband at a nightclub and got married after 10 months due to pre-marital pregnancy. They mentioned that they are raising their children with support as a recipient of basic living assistance, but it is insufficient.
The person stated, "When I asked him to send child support, my ex-husband said he would raise the children himself." On that day, Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Sugeun connected the person with a divorce attorney, drawing attention with specific answers.
