Actor Jung Da-jung will appear in "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy."
On the 8th, her agency Management Spring Day announced that Jung Da-jung will appear in the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy" (writer Yang Ji-hoon, director Kim Yong-wan, produced by CJ ENM, Studio Dragon, Dex Pictures, EO Contents Group).
Jung Da-jung will transform into the character Oh Seung-hee in "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy," which has been airing since the 23rd of last month, presenting her cute and charming image. "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy" is based on the popular webtoon of the same name and deals with the unrestrained first love rescue romance of eighteen-year-olds, featuring a boy destined to die and a modern shaman girl trying to prevent it.
Previously, Jung Da-jung played a law school student injured by an illegal strike in the MBC drama "Oh My Ghost Clients," a middle school student aspiring to be an entertainer but affected by drugs in Disney+'s "Gangnam B-side," and a lip-sync girl trying out for a cheerleader role in the movie "Victory." Continuously taking on new challenges and establishing her presence, Jung Da-jung will star in "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy" alongside actors Choo Young-Woo and Cho Yi-hyun.
In the drama, Jung Da-jung plays the role of Oh Seung-hee, a classmate of high school shaman Park Seong-ah (Cho Yi-hyun). She is one of the group of Jo Hye-ri (Hwang Se-in) who always ties her hair in a bun and is responsible for the cuteness in their group. She is interested in the rumors circulating around school and enjoys talking about others, making her a lovable yet cunning character.
Jung Da-jung said through Management Spring Day, "While wearing a school uniform on set and chatting with friends, it reminded me of my student days. I felt very happy just acting, talking about exam papers, and discussing going out for spicy rice cakes with friends during breaks. When I met with the director after filming, he smiled and told me, 'You were really cunning,' and I felt proud thinking that I had accurately shown the image I needed to portray as Seung-hee. Shooting with the cast in a classroom setting felt like having real friends, making it a truly enjoyable experience."
Bearing a bright and cute image along with a youthful appearance, Jung Da-jung is a solid actor known not only for her bright demeanor but also for her deep and strong acting skills. Attention is focused on her upcoming activities.
Jung Da-jung, who will also appear in the movie "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" set to release on July 23, is anticipated to appear in the Netflix original drama "Aema" in August, indicating a busy schedule ahead in 2025.
The 6th episode of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Gyeonwoo and the Fairy" will air on the 8th at 8:50 p.m.
