The difficult times the family of Park Seo-jin faced have been revealed.
The episode aired on the 5th of KBS 2TV's entertainment program 'Men Who Live in Households Season 2' (hereinafter 'Salim Nam') depicted the 70th birthday celebration of Park Seo-jin's father.
Park Seo-jin's mother recalled, "It was when I guaranteed a debt before. Dad acted as a guarantor. The person who guaranteed escaped. Later, I found out that Dad had to bear it all alone. Because of someone else's debt, all our assets were gone. The debt at that time was 33 million won. Just seven months after buying the new boat, the boat was tagged."
Park Seo-jin added, "They really put a red tag on it. I remember the name of the guarantor. They said it couldn't be removed. I didn't know that and said, 'Mom, since this is removed, it's ours.'"
Park Seo-jin's mother explained, "Dad had a lot of land, but all of it got seized. It all disappeared. We abandoned the house and went to Samcheok. While staying at my grandmother's house, I worked at other people's homes to make a living. Raising you all. Thinking back on it, I don't want to come to this island."
Park Seo-jin's mother said, "Thinking back to that time makes my heart ache so much," and Park Seo-jin's sibling comforted her by saying, "If I had been there at that time, I would not have been next to Dad."
