The group AHOF announced the arrival of a monstrous rookie.
AHOF (Steven, Seo Jeong-woo, Cha Woong-ki, Zhang Shuai-bo, Park Han, JL, Park Joo-won, Zeon, Daisuke) appeared on SBS's "Popular Song" broadcast on the afternoon of the 6th, performing their title track "Rendezvous" from their first mini-album "WHO WE ARE."
First, before the stage, AHOF met the viewers for the first time in a debut interview. Cha Woong-ki noted, "AHOF is an abbreviation for 'All time Hall Of Famer,' implying that we aim to remain in the K-pop Hall of Fame beyond simple popularity," explaining the meaning behind the team name. Leader Steven introduced the debut song, saying, "The title track 'Rendezvous' was directly written by member Cha Woong-ki, capturing the longing and hope felt during the pursuit of dreams."
Then, all members lifted the anticipation for the soon-to-be-revealed stage by slightly revealing the highlight choreography of "Rendezvous."
In the main stage, they delicately expressed the image of a boy caught between anxiety and hope, increasing the immersion. AHOF showcased perfect visual, stable live performance skills, and a performance full of emotional lines, demonstrating a commanding stage presence that captivated the audience.
In particular, the restrained movements and detailed choreography enhanced the dreamlike and lyrical atmosphere of the song. The members embodied the number '1' to match the lyrics "Don't leave me / Just hold me once / Look at me, frozen and broken in that place" with intuitive yet impactful performances.
"WHO WE ARE" is an album that contains the story of nine boys that began with "sincerity." The debut title track "Rendezvous" features a band track that reflects complex emotions over dreamlike sounds created by guitar and drums, depicting the moments where the boy's imperfection and hope intersect.
AHOF secured the top spot on the Bugs real-time chart and the Hanteo chart real-time physical album chart immediately after the album release on the 1st. In addition, AHOF proved their exceptional popularity by placing all songs, including the title track, in the upper ranks of the Bugs real-time chart. The music video for the title track also surpassed 25.16 million views less than a week after its release, garnering global attention beyond Korea.
Meanwhile, on "Popular Song," groups including AHOF, NouerA, Le Sserafim, Park Ji-hyun, BABYMONSTER, Bling One, ILLIT, aespa, All Day Project, Oneus, Wonho, Jeon Yoo-jin, KARD, Catch the Young, Cravity, PAOU, fromis_9, H1-KEY, and others appeared.
