"Let's Go Go 5" Song Chang-sik confessed the story of adopting two children.
On the 5th, during the first broadcast of MBN "Let's Go Go" Season 5, singer Song Chang-sik appeared as a guest.
Song Chang-sik, who married his high school classmate, said, "My wife is a twin, but I couldn't see her after high school until I met her twin sister in the United States. When I asked, 'What about your sister?' she said she runs an antique shop, so I came to Korea to find her. Until then, I didn't think of her as a potential partner," he added, "Then one day, my wife asked me to go to a party. When I said I'd go alone, she said only couples could attend, and there was a moment for partners to kiss each other. She told me to kiss her. We kissed, started dating, and I proposed after 15 days."
He said, "It's funny that I was an anti-marriage person. I never imagined giving my life to someone else. But I forgot that. Even now, I tease my wife by saying, 'You're a witch, right?'" and made everyone laugh.
While looking at family photos, MC Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee asked, "Do you have only one child?" Song Chang-sik replied, "We have one biological child and adopted a daughter and a son, making a total of three siblings."
Regarding the adoption behind-the-scenes, he said, "After getting married, my wife's twin sister in the U.S. said she would adopt a Korean child. So, we searched for a girl in Korea. I thought it would be good to show her a lot before bringing the child to the U.S. since my sister-in-law and my wife look very alike. I brought the child home, but suddenly, the law changed, making it impossible to adopt from Korea to the U.S. So we decided to 'raise her ourselves' and made her our adoptive daughter."
He continued, "And since my sister-in-law couldn't adopt, she had a child through artificial insemination. But she ended up in a situation where she couldn't raise the child," adding, "When we traveled to the U.S., my wife held the baby, and the baby wouldn't let go of her. So we brought the child back to Korea and adopted her as our youngest."
Ahn Jung-hwan remarked, "It may sound simple, but adopting a life (is) not easy," and Song Chang-sik said, "I got married and gained two more children because of my sister-in-law," with a laugh.
