BLACKPINK held 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR 'DEADLINE' IN GOYANG' at Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the 5th and 6th, opening the curtain on their world tour for the first time in about two years.
This tour by BLACKPINK is the first concert held in about 1 year and 10 months since setting a new record for K-pop girl groups, drawing over 1.8 million spectators. On this day, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to perform solo at Goyang Sports Complex, proving their status as a global top artist by drawing 78,000 spectators over the two days.
The concert that marked the beginning of the 'DEADLINE' tour not only encompassed the musical journey that BLACKPINK has walked together but also added newness. The band session and dancers were newly arranged with top-notch staff who have worked with world-class musicians like Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, delivering vivid sound with large screens and concert-optimized acoustics.
The members opened the show with powerful performances starting from 'Kill This Love' to 'Pink Venom', 'How You Like That', 'Playing With Fire', and 'Shut Down'.
The members, who greeted sequentially, said, 'Welcome to 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR 'DEADLINE' IN GOYANG.' Since it's the second day, we can have even more fun, right?' and announced a colorful start.
Then, on the stage of 'Pretty Savage', they showcased a charming and deadly performance using frames and other props, leading a sing-along while singing 'Don’t Know What To Do'. Additionally, they heated up the venue with dazzling dance performances and refreshing vocals while successively presenting 'Whistle', 'STAY', and 'Lovesick Girls'.
In particular, the highlight of the concert was the first stage performance of BLACKPINK's new song 'Jump', released after 2 years and 8 months. Before the new song stage, the members stated, 'There’s a song that you can only hear here in Goyang today. It’s a new song. Since it’s said to be a great song to enjoy, you need to enjoy it.'
Additionally, BLACKPINK, who had a strong solo activity domestically and internationally last year, showcased solo stages, revealing another charm separate from the group performances. Jisoo radiated a lovely charm with the stages of 'earthquake' and 'Your Love', while Lisa captivated attention with powerful rapping and performances during the stages of 'New Woman' and 'Rockstar'.
Jennie dominated the stage with sequential performances of 'Mantra', 'with the IE (way up)', and 'like JENNIE', along with dancers. Rosé heightened the immersion with a video that started from backstage and added emotion by explaining the songs before the '3AM' and 'toxic till the end' stages. The final stage, 'APT.', added warmth by inviting a fan onto the stage to sing together.
Jisoo remarked, 'We showed you the solo stages in order, how was it? It was really good, wasn't it? We were excited to prepare both group and solo stages this time, thinking that we could express various colors as solos, so we were thrilled that this tour could display a variety of colors.' She added, 'Most importantly, what was enjoyable was our new song. What did you think of 'Jump'? Isn’t it addictive? It’s going to be revealed soon, but we are specially releasing it for just these two days, so please listen to it a lot and love it when it comes out.'
Lisa conveyed her thoughts, saying, 'I was really nervous since yesterday, and I'm still nervous. It’s so nice to see everyone having fun with us like this.'

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK are making efforts for sustainable performances through this 'DEADLINE' tour. They are leading the response to climate change by launching an environmentally friendly paper-pack bottled water called 'BLACKPINK Water', as well as running booths to measure carbon emissions from audience transportation and accommodation under 'YOUR GREEN STEP', and to raise awareness of resource recycling.
In this way, BLACKPINK, which announced the successful start of their world tour in Goyang, will embark on a world tour covering 16 cities and 31 performances at stadium-level venues in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
