The group ENHYPEN will heat up the large stadiums in Japan.
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghun, Sunwoo, Niki) will hold the 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘WALK THE LINE’ IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-' (hereinafter referred to as 'SUMMER EDITION') today (5th) and tomorrow (6th) at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, and on August 2-3 at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka.
This performance is particularly significant as it marks the shortest time (4 years and 7 months) for a foreign artist to enter a Japanese stadium after debut. ENHYPEN has rapidly penetrated the Japanese stadiums, known as the 'dream stage,' confirming once again their status and influence as a 'K-pop top-tier' group.
A festive atmosphere has already been created near the venue ahead of the performances. Local major sports newspapers such as Sports Hochi, Daily Sports, and Nikkan Sports have produced special editions featuring ENHYPEN on the front page, focusing attention on their activities. Lines of fans, known as Engines, looking to purchase these editions have formed at convenience stores near the venue.
In the Tokyo area, various events for fans (Fan Experience Tokyo) are being successfully held in conjunction with 'SUMMER EDITION.' This event, which started on the 24th of last month, features region-specific programs utilizing the ENHYPEN intellectual property (IP), including Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line advertisements, a special exhibition at Tokyo Tower, and food trucks.
ENHYPEN noted through their agency Belift Lab, "As many people have shown great interest, we prepared to present a good stage." They added, "The stadium tour is a process that will allow ENHYPEN to take a bigger leap forward. We will approach this with a sense of honor."
As this performance has the name 'SUMMER EDITION,' water-themed productions are expected to add a special touch. ENHYPEN mentioned, "We focused on having fun with the Engines and enjoying a refreshing stage. We will present a stage that leaves a lingering impression, so please look forward to it."
The title track 'Shine On Me' from ENHYPEN's fourth Japanese single '宵 -YOI-' (Yoi), which was pre-released on the 4th, entered the top ranks of the Line Music real-time 'Song Top 100' immediately after its release, signaling a surge in popularity. This song has also been inserted as the ending theme for the local drama 'I Want to Catch Shrimp (海老だってが釣りたい)' and has generated buzz. ENHYPEN's new Japanese single, released after about two years, will come out on the 29th.
