Comedian Kim Jae-woo comforted a couple who lost their child.
Kim Jae-woo noted on 4th, "Today, while taking a walk with my wife, I saw a young couple sitting on a bench, crying. The husband, unable to say anything, cried along with his weeping wife... I caught a few words that brushed past, but they were parents who had lost a precious baby, just like we did back then."
He continued, "I wanted to say something to the grieving couple, but I couldn't bring myself to, so I just left... Therefore, I'm writing this small note of encouragement for them. I'm sure they can rise again, so it's okay to mourn until their hearts are full. They can live hard enough for their child when enough time passes. I wanted to tell them that, for sure."
He also said, "We also stopped our path and prayed earnestly for the three of us, holding them close with all our hearts as much as we could."
Lastly, he expressed, "I will tell our son to take my younger sibling to fun places and play happily. Please stay strong," drawing sympathy from those who read Kim Jae-woo's words.
Kim Jae-woo and Jo Yuri got married in 2013 and welcomed their baby angel five years later, but they lost their son two weeks after birth at the end of 2018. Despite hoping to raise him affectionately with the name Kim-yul, overwhelming sorrow struck them.
In 2020, they appeared on SBS "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny" and revealed, "We found out that our son was not well when he was seven months in his mother's womb. However, we decided to stay strong, and our son was born. Ultimately, he couldn't endure due to his weak condition and went to heaven. Those were the happiest two weeks of my life," moving many to tears.
