Former SBS announcer, broadcaster Bae Seung-jae and Kim Da-young are enjoying their public dates freely after marriage. Until the wedding announcement, they maintained their relationship secretly, but after getting married, they have been on public dates to the extent that it feels like they were holding back for so long.
Bae Seung-jae and Kim Da-young were spotted on the 4th during the match between Doosan Bears and Samsung Lions at the '2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League' held at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. On that day, Bae Seung-jae took the mound as the starting pitcher while his wife Kim Da-young watched him.
Kim Da-young practiced pitching together with Bae Seung-jae before he went up to the mound. Later, while he was on the mound and until he came down, she was seen capturing his moments on her phone with a bright smile.
Afterwards, Kim Da-young shared her thoughts saying, "Successfully listening to the baseball commentary with Bae Seung-jae's voice."
Bae Seung-jae and Kim Da-young are a couple overcoming a 14-year age gap, having met through the SBS entertainment program 'Women Who Kick'. They decided to get married after about two years of dating. They reportedly finalized their marriage without a wedding ceremony and opted for a simple family meal instead.
Bae Seung-jae's agency, SM C&C, stated, "The couple wanted to start quietly without formalities. Accordingly, they decided to have a meal with family instead of a wedding ceremony" and added, "As additional details regarding the marriage involve personal privacy, we ask for your understanding."
Kim Da-young also cautiously revealed her inner thoughts through her social media. She stated, "We have been contemplating for a long time about a way we could be together that would be harmless and acceptable for everyone," and continued, "We decided to forego an official ceremony and replace it with a meal with our immediate families. I apologize for not being able to contact many of you directly," she added. "I will sincerely receive all the congratulatory thoughts and blessings from everyone with gratitude."
Ahead of the wedding, Kim Da-young submitted her resignation to SBS and concluded her fixed participation in 'Kim Young-chul's Power FM' after its broadcast on April 23.
Bae Seung-jae began his career as an announcer at KBS Gwangju Broadcasting Station in 2005, then moved to SBS in 2006. He has been active in various fields such as sports casting, news, entertainment, and radio. After leaving in 2021, he transitioned to a freelancer and has continued to be active. Kim Da-young joined SBS in 2021 as an experienced hire, making her presence known across news, cultural, and sports programs, and caught attention as a member of the 'Women Who Kick' FC Anaconda.
