Disney+’s original series "Low Life" has released character stills of new faces.
In 1977, the story of diligent and earnest scavengers who scheme and deceive each other to claim a sunken treasure ship is making headlines with character stills of Jung Yoon-ho, Lee Sang-jin, and Kim Min, which add richness to the work.
First, Jung Yoon-ho, who has built his acting experience by appearing in various works such as Disney+’s original series "Race," the film "Ode to My Father," and the drama "Meloholic," will play the flashy Mokpo gangster 'Bul-goo.'
Jung Yoon-ho boasts natural dialect acting and has a fiery personality that often leads with his fists rather than words, but he perfectly transforms into the appealing 'Bul-goo,' ensuring he makes a strong impression as actor Jung Yoon-ho. The released still of 'Bul-goo' showcases his rough charm with flamboyant long hair and a relaxed pose, raising expectations. In particular, Jung Yoon-ho noted, "You might think, 'Can a human go this far to extremes?' and this aspect is realistically captured in the work," sparking curiosity about the new acting he will present.
Next, Lee Sang-jin, who has shown a distinct presence in each work such as the OTT series "Boyhood," the film "30 Days," and the "New Recruit" drama series, takes on the role of the clumsy country bumpkin 'Na Dae-sik,' who is a disciple of Mokpo 'Song CEO' (Kim Jong-soo) in "Low Life." Lee Sang-jin shared that he thought, "I can’t let him seem too innocent, so I contemplated what kind of evil 'Na Dae-sik' could portray," suggesting that he will delicately depict the transformation of a character who seems kind but undergoes unexpected events. The still released of 'Na Dae-sik' shows him glaring at something, inciting curiosity about the events that await him.
Lastly, Kim Min, who made a stunning debut in "Low Life," plays 'Seon-ja,' a café waitress dreaming of escaping Seoul. Overcoming fierce competition, Kim Min joined "Low Life" unanimously through the judges, adding richness by becoming the character itself with outstanding acting skills. Kim Min shared, "The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is play a video featuring the Jeolla dialect," conveying her effort to fully immerse herself in the work. The released still of 'Seon-ja' conveys a mysterious lingering feeling in a static atmosphere with a calm gaze, increasing curiosity about how 'Seon-ja,' the only character with purity in "Low Life," will develop.
The outstanding performances of Jung Yoon-ho, Lee Sang-jin, and Kim Min, who have brilliantly brought their characters to life, serve as another viewing point for "Low Life," heightening expectations among prospective viewers.
The original Disney+ series "Low Life," raising expectations with the freshness and excellent performances of new faces, will present three episodes on July 16 (Wed), two episodes on July 23 (Wed), two episodes on July 30 (Wed), two episodes on August 6 (Wed), and two episodes on August 13 (Wed), for a total of 11 episodes.
