After news broke of her split from football player Song Beom-keun just 9 months into their public relationship, Lee Mi-joo revealed her dating style.
"Twenty Century Hit Song" highlights songs that feature exciting melodies and shocking lyrics.
The 271st episode of KBS Joy's "Twenty Century Hit Song" airing tonight at 8:30 p.m. will focus on the theme "I dance when I'm sad~ Hit Song" and introduce hit songs that combine a lively rhythm with shocking lyrics.
Tonight's broadcast will feature Young Thugs Club's "Jealousy (1997)." After hearing the lyrics, "One day, by chance, I saw you getting out of a bright red foreign car," and "I saw you kissing my best friend's lips," Lee Mi-joo showed surprise, saying, "This is not the time to laugh." Kim Hee-chul commented on the lyrics, saying, "It's mutual jealousy."
Lee Mi-joo asked Kim Hee-chul whether he is typically not jealous, to which he responded, "I got in trouble a lot because of this. They ask me why I'm not jealous." Lee Mi-joo continued, "After meeting someone who is not jealous at all, I prefer someone who is jealous," adding, "But I have to be careful. If I say on air, "I like jealous people," then they become extremely jealous." In response, Kim Hee-chul lightheartedly joked, "Is someone watching?" creating a cheerful atmosphere.
Meanwhile, while introducing another song that captures the pain of breakup, Kim Hee-chul asked, "Have you ever faced a situation where you had to break up unwillingly?" Lee Mi-joo replied, "Isn’t it too common?" and noted, "I usually get dumped." She added, "I don't usually initiate. I keep loving until the end. By the time I'm done, those people get a bit tired of me."
Additionally, songs reflecting the pain of being left alone after a partner departs and narratives based on real friends' breakup stories will be featured tonight at 8:30 p.m. on "Twenty Century Hit Song."
