Youngjae gradually revealed a total of eight story teaser images, releasing two each day from June 30 to July 3 through official social media, previewing a deeper emotional tone.
The released teaser images encapsulate the message of the new song and sparked fans' curiosity. In particular, the depiction of someone running vigorously or seemingly fleeing from someone visually expresses the key themes of 'confusion and comfort' embedded in the song, heightening fans' expectations.
The teaser images also feature honest lyrics offering warm comfort to youth, including lines such as, "How can I smile if what I was looking for isn't there when I stop at the end of a long tunnel? I don't know," "Where am I, and where am I headed? I'm stopping again and asking myself," and "It's been so long since I looked at the sky that I forgot how blue it could be."
Youngjae's new song, 'Running Away Is Embarrassing,' is an alternative hip-hop track with lyrics that offer comfort to wandering and weary youth, paired with an uplifting melody. It was previously previewed at the GOT7 concert in Thailand, resonating deeply with audiences.
